The CPAS College of Teacher Education, Erattupetta, has a rich legacy of nurturing educators who shape the future of learning. The institution was established by Mahatma Gandhi University in the year1994. At present the institution is under the direct administrative control of Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS) a Government controlled society, headed by the Honorable Higher Education Minister. It was formerly known as Mahatma Gandhi University College of Teacher Education.
Our college provides students with immense opportunities which enable them to strengthen their ethics, values and personality. The College is situated in the semi- urban area at Erattupetta in Kottayam district, catering to the needs of the teacher trainees from diverse parts of the State.
The college is functioning as a co-educational institution. All the seats are filled on the basis of merit observing the eligibility criteria and also the guidelines for community reservations. The College provides high standard of education to the students conforming strictly to the regulations prescribed by the regulatory bodies and have secured almost 100% result during all the previous years.
